Description
more graphics work!
this was for a fashion illustration piece, main influence was Stina Persson, who i'd suggest you look up if you feel like it, she has some lovely ink/watercolour/paper cutting/illustrator work.
this is mainly traditional, but manipulated a lot in photoshop as i decided i loathed the original background (i was unused to the non-blending-after-drying qualities of inks) and so cut it all out and mixed it around a little. oh, and the text. the original makes me cringe! but... it's here: [link]
the rhyme is from a superstition about magpies:
One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl, four for a boy, five for silver, six for gold, and seven for a secret, never to be told.
as you might guess, this is the start of a series,
four for a boy... [link]
five for silver...: [link]
six for gold... :[link]
four for a boy v.2:[link]

The colours in this and the way you've used them is beautiful. I am fond of Stina Persson's work aswell, especially her watercolours, and you can definitely see her influence in this image. It looks great i love it
